Gulfport is collecting donations for the people of Rockport, Texas. They're looking for tire repair kits, square shovels, bottled water, lights/matches, tarps, hammers and nails, batteries and flashlights, phone and car charges and more. You can drop those items off at Gulfport City Hall from 8-5pm through Friday, or at Gulfport Central Fire Station next to City Hall.
The Gulfport Police Dept. is collecting generators of all sizes, air compressors, gas cans, fuel tanks, gas, drills and chainsaws. Call 868-5964 for dropoff locations.
Gulfport Police are also collecting prepaid Visa gift cards. You can drop them off at the Gulfport Police Dept. Office of the Chief of Police Monday through Friday between 8 and 5pm.
The George County Sheriff's Office is collecting cleaning supplies, baby supplies, non perishable food and other items. You can drop those off at the George County Sheriff's Office Mon-Fri from 8-5pm.
Long Beach is taking donations at the Police Dept on Alexander Road or at the Fire Departments on Klondyke Road, East Second Street, or Johnson Road.
Pascagoula has adopted League City, Texas. They're asking for cleaning supplies, towels, boots, tools, bottled water, bleach, trash bags, gloves, baby wipes and gift cards. They'll be taking donations at the Pascagoula Police Dept. and any Pascagoula Fire Dept through September 7th.
Bay St. Louis is collecting relief supplies like towels, batteries, brooms, dustpans, diapers and formula, bottled water, canned food, can openers and more. You can drop those off at Fire Station 1 off Main Street, or Fire Station 2 off Highway 603.
Waveland is taking up donations of water, bleach, non-perishable food, wipes, hygiene items, baby food, and money or gift cards. You can drop those off at the Waveland Central Fire Station on H90.
Diamondhead is collecting food, batteries, flashlights, toilet paper and more at the Diamondhead Community Center from 4-8 Friday.
The Red Cross is having a training class for volunteers Saturday from noon-3pm at their building on East Pass Road.
