Coastal Flood Advisory
A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for all of coastal Mississippi through this afternoon.
Persistent onshore winds will keep tides elevated 1 to 2 feet above normal. Expect low lying coastal roads to be most impacted by this coastal flooding.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are anticipated today, primarily during the afternoon hours. While severe weather is not expected, a few thunderstorms could produce very heavy rain. This could cause brief street flooding in some areas, especially in those areas hard hit by heavy rains over the last few days.
Strong onshore winds of 20 to 25 knots and very rough seas will continue in the coastal waters through this afternoon. Small Craft Advisories are in effect for all of the waters.
Saturday through Thursday
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible Saturday and Sunday. While severe weather is not expected, some storms could produce very heavy rain. Otherwise, the threat of hazardous weather is low through Thursday.
